Olha Lobazova

Born in 1992 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Olha started her photography career path in the late 2022 after joining Mykolaiv Young Photography School as a student.

In 2023 became shortlisted for Blurring the Lines international contest and participated in several exhibitions in Ukraine and Germany. 

Since the beginning of 2024 Olha joined Ukrainian Women Photographers organization, participated in several exhibitions in Sweden, Denmark and Ukraine, got featured in large wartime photography album “FLASH" by Ukrainskiy Dim and in collective book “Conceptual Photography” by MYPH and Creative Publishing. 

My artistic philosophy revolves around employing visual language as a conduit to explore subconscious realms. Being a young mom in immigration maternity and a sense of self belonging play a key role in my artistic practice. But while reflecting on these topics I also reflect on photography itself, the place and the role of the image in the modern world. Working with analog photography, digital photo and digital transformations, screen shoots, archives I would like to research a human perception of the image as a memory, history or allusion.
